An interactive indoor intervention connected to real-time weather conditions.
The main lobby at the Spanish Agency of Meteorology (Aemet) was designed to introduce meteorological conditions inside the building.
A glass skin, coated with a translucent printed vinyl, covers the walls from the floor to the ceiling, a completely new atmosphere is created and space is transformed. An LED lighting system behind the glass is connected to outdoor meteorological conditions through humidity, temperature and pressure sensors managed by a programmed interface, thus creating a continuously changing and responsive environment throughout the year. The color range inside this space will vary according to the information collected on a real-time basis, offering visitors a meteorological color translation of each day’s weather conditions.
