The site in the Pobrežje district is occupied by the municipal waste dump, currently in the phase of ecological re-naturalization and rehabilitation which will take several years to be consolidated. We take this temporary feature as the project’s leitmotif. We understand architecture as a reversible process that requires the ability to anticipate and that is designed for construction but also for being dismantled afterward.

We occupy the site for a limited period of time. A temporary landscape is artificially built on the flat land, creating a new building level (+2.50m) on which it is possible to build temporary structures.

This new topography generates different sized enclosures or rings, on whose perimeters different buildings are built. These rings contain open-air green areas, some dedicated to communal spaces linked to the residential dwellings, and others creating larger multipurpose venues ready to accommodate different public programs (fairs, concerts, sports facilities, etc), linked to public service buildings.
