Program: Revitalization of the Pez Luna neighborhood in Madrid center

Why propose new content and programs instead of merely changing the pavement of streets?

Public space renewal is a great opportunity to create the conditions for healthy community development. Building a space as a platform for communication and the exchange of ideas is the first step towards a successful urban social transformation.

Public space should provide the conditions for every individual to feel represented.

How can public spaces in cities be activated and revitalized by planning, not only their physical configuration, but also the programs and content that will take place over time?

How about allocating fewer resources to the physical configuration and more for cultural programming and activities to happen in the following years?

This proposal explores the potential of these ideas and suggests new ways of defining public space and dreaming about possibilities.
