An interactive indoor intervention connected to real time weather conditions.

The main lobby at the Spanish Agency of Meteorology (Aemet) was designed to introduce meteorological conditions inside the building.

A glass skin, coated with a translucent printed vinyl, covers the walls from the floor to the ceiling, a completely new atmosphere is created and the space is transformed. An LED lighting system behind the glass is connected to outdoor meteorological conditions through humidity, temperature and pressure sensors managed by a programmed interface, thus creating a continuously changing and responsive environment throughout the year. The color range inside this space will vary according to the information collected on a real-time basis, offering visitors a meteorological color translation of each day’s weather conditions.
